Our Story

Kinderwald began with a simple belief — that childhood should be wild, free, and full of wonder. We dreamed of a place where children could grow up surrounded by trees instead of walls, guided by birdsong instead of bells.
In our forest, every day is an adventure. We believe in learning through independence, encouragement, and inner motivation. We create a space where children are free to explore, create, and express themselves without pressure — without worrying about the tools we use or designing an environment for appearances or perfect photographs. What matters to us is not how things look, but how children feel and grow.
Kinderwald was shaped by our experiences living and working with families in Germany, Italy, and the United States. Across different cultures and languages, we witnessed the same truth again and again: when children are trusted, respected, and free to explore, they thrive. These experiences inspired us to create Kinderwald — a place where learning feels alive and joyful, and where the forest itself becomes the classroom.
At the heart of Kinderwald is trust. We understand what it means for families to leave their children in our care with complete confidence. We carry this responsibility deeply, treating every child as if they were our own.
Our philosophy is rooted in what we experienced firsthand in Italy and Germany — an approach that honors the child, allows time for growth, and respects each child’s unique rhythms and abilities.
Kinderwald is more than a school. It is a community where childhood is cherished, imagination is celebrated, and every child is supported to grow with confidence, curiosity, and a deep sense of safety — seeing the world with wonder, every step of the way.
